In many sims (including the original Assetto Corsa) there is an assist called auto blip that blips the throttle for you on downshifts. In ACC that switch does not exist — the assists list covers gearbox, clutch, engine start, wipers, headlights, pit limiter, stability control and ideal line, and nothing else.
The reason is not a missing feature but realism: GT3 cars run a sequential gearbox with paddles, and the throttle blip on downshifts is handled by the engine control unit itself — in the real car just as in the game. So it is always “on” and never was switchable. You do not need heel-and-toe in ACC.
A wrong field of view (FOV) makes speed and distances unreadable — the reason so many people feel “too fast” and brake late. Set the camera so the perspective matches your real distance to the monitor: err on the narrow side rather than the wide side. Set the seat position so you can clearly see crests and apexes.
Too wide a FOV shrinks everything and makes the world feel faster than it is — you brake too early or misjudge corners. A matching FOV makes speed and distances feel “real”, and suddenly your braking points are consistent. It feels cramped at first — that is normal and correct.

Getting on the throttle early and gently on corner exit gains more than braking late. The biggest lever for beginners.

Power oversteer. Raise TC one level, feed the throttle in more gently, and wait in the corner until the wheel is straighter before you go to full throttle.
Understeer — usually from carrying too much speed in. Brake earlier and harder, turn in more slowly, and wait until the apex to get back on the throttle. Often a driving problem, not a setup problem.
Check your FOV (point 2) and find fixed braking points at trackside markers. Better too early and rolling than too late and off the track — consistency comes first.
